Making French Toast with kids is fun!

Make sure you get the best kind of bread. I usually go with white soft bread. This kind of bread is a personal favorite.

Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch salt
  • 1 lb bread cut into 3/4 inch slices (about 16 slices)
  • butter for cooking
  • Optional Toppings: butter, maple syrup, fruit, whipped cream, powdered sugar

Instructions:

  • Have your child break the eggs and mix them together with the milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and salt.
  • Take a large skillet and have your child mix the butter over medium heat. Dip the bread into the egg mixture and spread onto the skillet. Pour a little cinnamon and butter on the top of the bread.
  • Flip it over and pour a little bit of cinnamon on this side too.
