Making French Toast with kids is fun!
Make sure you get the best kind of bread. I usually go with white soft bread. This kind of bread is a personal favorite.
Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch salt
- 1 lb bread cut into 3/4 inch slices (about 16 slices)
- butter for cooking
- Optional Toppings: butter, maple syrup, fruit, whipped cream, powdered sugar
Instructions:
- Have your child break the eggs and mix them together with the milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and salt.
- Take a large skillet and have your child mix the butter over medium heat. Dip the bread into the egg mixture and spread onto the skillet. Pour a little cinnamon and butter on the top of the bread.
- Flip it over and pour a little bit of cinnamon on this side too.
